OUR HISTORY

Built from 18 years on the network floor

Arawi was built on hands-on experience. After years designing and running enterprise networks across Latin America, our founder relocated to Winnipeg and began delivering official MikroTik certification training across Canada and Latin America in 2018. That same year, we launched Arawi Academy, our Spanish-language platform serving IT professionals across the Hispanic community worldwide.

Today, Arawi Network Consulting and Training operates from Winnipeg delivering private certification sessions in English and Spanish, supporting IT teams across industries, and expanding into cybersecurity, network automation, and AI for business. Our courses are grounded in real-world infrastructure experience and practical, hands-on delivery.

Wilmer Almazan

Wilmer brings 18+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering to every course he delivers. Before founding Arawi, he built and operated a licensed ISP from the ground up, designing a production OSPF/BGP/MPLS backbone, managing BGP peering with upstream providers, and running full network operations across a multi-protocol WAN environment. His consulting work has supported hundreds of ISPs and network teams across more than 20 countries, covering network design, security hardening, and infrastructure optimization.

Wilmer holds more than 40 active industry certifications spanning network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, automation, and AI, including a CISSP, dual CCNP (Enterprise and Automation), CompTIA SecurityX, CySA+, SecAI+, Python PCPP1, GitLab CI/CD, and a Master of Business Administration. He is Manitoba's only MikroTik Certified Trainer, authorized to deliver and examine all 10 official MikroTik certifications, and has certified 400+ professionals across Canada and Latin America.

In addition to his consulting and training practice, Wilmer has served as an instructor at post-secondary and higher education institutions, teaching and developing curriculum across networking, cybersecurity, and automation programs. He has also presented at MikroTik User Meetings in Canada, Mexico, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
